Who is responsible for your data

What we collect

To take a booking we need your name, contact details and the dates of your stay.

Before arrival, Italian law requires us to register every guest, so we also collect identity document data for each person staying.

We never see your card number. Payments are handled by Stripe, and only the outcome of the payment reaches us.

Why we use it, and on what legal basis

To provide the stay you booked — performance of a contract.

To register guests with the Italian police portal (Portale Alloggiati), to report to ISTAT and to collect the tourist tax — legal obligations we cannot opt out of.

To keep accounting and tax records — legal obligation.

To answer your messages before and during the stay — our legitimate interest in being a reachable host.

Who else handles it

Vikey (Vikey S.r.l., Italy) — booking engine, online check-in, digital keys and guest messaging.

Stripe — card payments.

Hostinger — hosting of this website.

Google — our email account, and the servers the booking calendar script is loaded from.

Each of them acts on our instructions and only for the purposes above.

How long we keep it

Booking and accounting records are kept for ten years, as Italian tax law requires.

Guest registration data is kept for the period set by the police portal rules.

Messages are kept only as long as they are useful for your stay or for a possible dispute.

Data outside the European Union

Some of our providers may process data outside the EEA. Where that happens it is covered by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, correct it, ask for deletion, restrict or object to processing, and ask to receive it in a portable format. Write to themomentBG@gmail.com and we will answer.

If you think we handle your data badly, you can complain to the Italian supervisory authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
